‘Treasure the Beach’ and
help clean Seaside’s shores
SEASIDE — Help clean Seaside’s
beaches at the “Treasure the Beach” cleanup
event on Saturday at 9 a.m.
Coordinated by the Seaside Aquarium
in collaboration with other local organiza-
tions, this monthly volunteer event off ers
locals and visitors the chance to steward
North Coast shores. As a gesture of thanks,
the event will off er volunteers “cleanup
coins” redeemable at a handful of local cof-
fee shops.
Gloves and trash bags will be provided to
volunteers on the Seaside P romenade on the
day of the event.

Cannon Beach church
to host music festival
CANNON BEACH — Cannon Beach
Community Church will host a music fes-
tival spanning the month of April, start-
ing with a piano performance by Jenni-
fer Goodenberger, accompanied on fl ute by
Shelly Loring, on Friday at noon.

son of Lent. Northwest Piano Trio will also
return to perform “From Dvorak to Duke,”
featuring the music of Antonin Dvorak,
Duke Ellington and Harry Burleigh, on
Sunday at 3 p.m. The trio includes Esther
Shim on violin, Hannah Hillebrand on cello
and Susan McDaniel on piano.
The church has scheduled more concerts
throughout the month.

Salgado to perform
at Coaster Th eatre
CANNON BEACH — R&B, blues and
soul vocalist Curtis Salgado will perform a
series of songs at the Coaster Theatre Play-
house at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday.
Salgado is a multiple award-winning
singer, songwriter and harmonicist who has
been performing ambient, soulful music for
over 40 years.
Admission for the show is $35. Masks
and proof of vaccination or negative COVID
test are required for all attendees. For more

Menagerie on Pier 39
hosts spring maker’s market
ASTORIA — Menagerie on Pier 39 will
host a gathering of North Coast vendors at
the Spring Maker’s Market on Sunday from
11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Featuring more than 20 local artists, mak-
ers and business owners, the market will
off er a chance to celebrate the spring season
with local goods, fun craft activities and live
ukulele music from Warrior Erin.
Vendors at the event will include Astoria
Soap, Golden Wild Farmhouse, Clew Bay
Leather, Drifting Leaf Designs, Shoalwater
Pottery, Willapa Mosaics and more. 94.9 The
Bridge will also off er a live remote and prize
wheel during the event.

Stamp out hunger
with craft s, donations
ASTORIA — Let’s Stamp Out Hunger,
an annual fundraiser benefi tting the Clatsop
Emergency Food Bank, will take place at the
Astoria High School commons on Saturday
from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Community members are invited to bring
donations in the form of funds or food items
at any time of day. Sponsored by Red Dwarf
Graphx, the fundraiser event is an all day
gathering which allows space for card mak-
ers, scrapbookers and other paper crafters to
express their creativity. The event will fea-
ture raffl e prizes and a silent auction, as well
as hourly “make and takes” and door prizes
for craft makers.
Admission for the event is $10 or 10 cans
of food. Raffl e tickets are $5 each or three
for $10. Participants are asked to bring their
own craft projects, tools and materials to
work with. Lunch will be provided.
