On March 7, at the 4-H Pre-
sentations Competition, mem-
bers gave their presentations or
demonstrations in front of a judge,
parents and other 4-H members.
Those in grades four through
six talked for 3 to 10 minutes on
a particular subject, and those
members in grades seven through
12 were required to talk for 10 to
15 minutes. Members also gave
impromptu speeches where they
received a topic, planned for a few
minutes, then presented.
The top winners were: Junior
Illustrated Talk champion, Ame-
lia Hockett; Junior Illustrated
Talk reserve champion, Junior
Impromptu Speech champion and
Overall Junior Division champion,
Joyana Bellingham; Intermedi-
ate Impromptu champion, Katrina
Phillips; Intermediate Impromptu
reserve champion, Titus Cano; and
Senior Demonstration Champion,
Matthew Cano.
