Dixon fi nds community among FisherPoets BY ANDY CAMERON In the darkest depths of a cold Alas- kan night, after a series of unfathomable blunders, the steel hull of the Exxon Val- dez came to rest upon the rocky shoul- ders of Bligh Reef. The ship’s grounding unleashed a swath of destruction. Over 10 million gallons of oil coated the biologi- cal and economic riches of Prince William Sound. The shipwreck also sparked a creative fi re in the heart of fi sherman and poet Pat- rick Dixon. See Page 5
