lings Short are set to per-
form at the Charlene Larsen
Center for the Performing
Arts on Sunday at 3 p.m.
The concert will fea-
ture traditional and origi-
nal music from the Celtic
lands, Medieval & Renais-
sance Europe, India and
the Americas, played on a
fantastic selection of more
than 30 unique musical
instruments.
Four Shillings Short,
consisting of Aodh Og
O’Tuama of Cork, Ireland
and Christy Martin of Cal-
ifornia, have been touring
across the United States and
Ireland since 1997, releas-
ing 13 recordings along the
way.

Performers will include Astoria native and
host Ginger Vitus, accompanied by Jayla Rose,
Clare Apparently and Boujee Cherry.
The brunch show was indefinitely postponed
in August due to a COVID-19 surge. “I think
people are just ready for it,” event producer Jus-
tin Buckles said.
Buckles’ production company has created
10 touring drag shows, which have performed
across the United States and Canada. The shows’
performers have been featured on “America’s
Got Talent” as well as Pride festivals nationwide.
Diva Drag Brunch debuted in Astoria in Jan-
uary 2020. Following this summer’s cancella-
tion, Buckles decided to revisit the show when
the owners of Merry Time Bar & Grill agreed.
Tickets for the event are now available on
eventbrite.com. Doors will open at 11 a.m., and
the event will begin at noon. This event is for
those 21 and over only.
LONG BEACH, Wash. — The
World Kite Museum will virtu-
ally host the 22nd Annual Windless
Kite Festival on Saturday, featuring
video submissions from kite fliers
worldwide.
The event will take place on Goo-
gle Meet at 10 a.m. Admission is
free, and the event can be accessed
on the museum’s Facebook page.
Sponsored by Long Beach,
the festival’s mission is to share
the freedom and artistry of wind-
less kite flying, from indoor and
urban adventures to kite flying
underground.
The event is also a fundraiser,
supporting the museum’s year-round
events and programs through mer-
chandise available online.

‘CLUE’ comes to Astor Street Opry Company Playhouse
ASTORIA — The Astor Street Opry
Company Playhouse will be presenting
“CLUE: On Stage.” The show opens Friday
and runs through March. 22.
Based on Paramount Pictures’ motion
picture and the Hasbro board game
“CLUE,” the play will be directed by Ash-
ley Mundel with assistance from Beth
Beauparland, Jerod Griffin and Trish von
Vintage.
