“My sister and I have gone to the ocean every year, and any opportunity to jump
into the water – we are in the water. So with my wedding being on the beach, we
decided that we were going to go swim! So I got in, in my wedding dress, with some
of the bridesmaids and groomsmen, and we were playing in the water for an hour and
half or so,” Lacie said.
Prior to the ceremony, the two spent a night in Astoria, where they had breakfast
from Pig N’ Pancake delivered in the morning. “We lived in Arizona at the time,”
Lacie said, “so we drove all the way to Astoria with our dog in the car.” The couple’s
guests also traveled long distances for the ceremony. “We had less than 20 people, and
all of them drove at least three hours to get there,” Lacie said.
And their dog, “River Grace,” found a place in the oceanfront ceremony as
well. The Labrador and Staffordshire mix pup donned a small wreath to walk with
Lacie and her mother down the aisle. “She galloped around the beach for the whole
ceremony, it was the cutest thing!” Lacie said. It seems as if the couple may have found
a new fan of Seaside, a place close to Lacie’s heart, and now, one they can share.
