A witch’s brew New coff ee shop off ers coff ee, treats and more at Kit’s Apothecary BY M.J. CODY M.J. Cody “I just want people to feel like they’re in a magical place,” said Kirsten Norgaard, owner of Kit’s Apothecary. That magical place is the col- lection of eclectic shops down- stairs on 10th and Marine Drive in Astoria where Norgaard (aka Kit) has expanded at street level with a new coff ee shop and glu- ten-free bakery. She’s also invested in two of the down- stairs spaces, including Foragers and her own shop, Kit’s Apothe- cary, featuring her vitamins, sup- plements, CBD blends and Swear Word Swag. “It’s hard to believe,” Nor- gaard said. “It was just four years ago that I opened my fi rst shop! All 250 square feet of it! And with only three products. Now look at me! I’m in heaven.” See Page 9 Kit’s Apothecary RIGHT: Delectable brew and goodies at Kit’s Apothecary.
