    ‘Miniatures’ exhibition set to open in Cannon Beach
CANNON BEACH — The Can-
non Beach Arts Association is celebrating
the 35th Anniversary of the “Miniatures”
exhibition.
The exhibition features a variety of local
and regional artwork. The for-sale minia-
tures are priced at a measurable diff erence
then larger-scale works.
The show will be open from Wednesday
to Dec. 30 with an artist reception on Dec.
11 from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Visitors will have
the chance to cast a vote for the “People’s
Choice” award.
The Cannon Beach Gallery is a non-
profi t program of Cannon Beach Arts Asso-
ciation. Their mission is to exhibit regional
and local artists for the benefi t of Cannon
Beach’s residents and the visiting public.

Winter painting class set for
Seaside Public Library
Church presents
jazz piano concert Sunday
SEASIDE — The Friends of the Seaside
Public Library will host Oregonian artist
Dawning McGinnis of Dawning’s Art Stu-
dio on Dec. 4 at 2 p.m. in the Seaside Pub-
lic Library’s Community Room.
Dawning will be leading a winter paint-
ing class. Participants will recreate an origi-
nal winter themed paintings over the course of
this two hour event. Participation is capped at
a maximum of 10 and sign-ups are required.
Dawning is a talented artist and a dedicated
teacher. Her classes off er an inclusive and fun
environment for all skill levels. Attendees do
not need to bring anything other than their
enthusiasm to learn and to have fun while
painting a piece of holiday art.

CANNON BEACH — The Can-
non Beach Community Church will pres-
ent the solo piano concert “Coming on the
Clouds,” at 4 p.m. on Sunday.
The concert will feature jazz pianist
David Robinson performing on a 7-foot
Steinway Grand Piano. Robinson will per-
form an hour of original cloud compositions
inspired by cloud formations, accompanied
by cloud nature videography by photogra-
pher Thomas Robinson.
The concert is free and open
to the public. Audience members
are asked to wear face masks. The event
will also be livestreamed on YouTube on
the Cannon Beach Community Church
channel.
