Rankin has been
with Seaside Police
Department since
her initial hiring as a
police officer in 2015,
she transferred to our
dispatch center in 2018.
911 Dispatcher Jennifer
Schermerhorn has been
with our city for many
years working several
different positions starting
as a reserve police officer
in 2000, then becoming
a dispatcher, working as
the court clerk and most
recently back to our
dispatch center in 2019.

Volunteer Seaside Police Department
Ken Butterfield has been a volunteer
at Seaside PD since 2009. After his
attendance at the South County Citizens
Academy Ken starting volunteering with
our department in many areas. Ken helps
with clerical filing, data entry, parking
enforcement, property management
and many other projects around the
department. Our department and
community is blessed to have such a
dedicated volunteer in Ken Butterfield.
