Liberty
hosts trio
in festival
this week
Traditional Oregon artists can
self-nominate for $5,000 stipends
Livestream option will be
available for ticket holders
ASTORIA — Grammy-nominated
instrumentalists and Oregon Coast favor-
ites, Hermitage Piano Trio are perform-
ing at the Liberty Theatre this week, with
concerts running through Sunday.
The group will be joined by several
special guests. A full lineup is available
on the Liberty Theatre’s website.
As the Liberty Theatre brings live
music back to the stage, a livestream view-
ing option is being introduced to ticket
holders. Patrons who are unable to attend
will have the option to watch the perfor-
mance on a livestream through Facebook.

SALEM — The Ore-
gon Folklife Network and
Oregon Arts Commission
have opened the call for
self-nominations for the
Traditional Arts Recovery
Program.
Oregon traditional art-
ists who would like to be
considered for the Tradi-
tional Arts Recovery Pro-
gram may self-nominate
between now and Aug. 31.
The program will pro-
vide stipends of $5,000 to
15 Oregon traditional art-
ists for the creation of new
work. Eligible artists will
use a range of art forms
to represent and express
Oregon’s diverse ethnic,
sacred, occupational and
regional cultural arts.
