Muse Design and Frame
has opened inside River-
Sea Gallery.
The new business
off ers frame designs and
mats, as well as shadow
boxes, stretched canvases,
textiles, original art, prints,
mobile design consultation
and specialized framing.
Leann Rund, the owner
of the new business, has
been a professional framer
for over 30 years.
The business is open
from noon to 5 p.m. Tues-
day through Thursday and
by appointment.

LightBox’s ‘Awakening’ exhibit focuses on pandemic
ASTORIA — LightBox
Photographic Gallery will
open “The Awakening”
exhibit on Saturday from
11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
The group exhibit was
juried by Douglas Bea-
sley, owner and pub-
lisher of SHOTS Maga-
zine, a quarterly journal of
eclectic black and white
photography.
Beasley’s personal
vision explores the spiri-
tual aspects of people and
place and is concerned
with how the sacred is
recognized and expressed
in everyday life.
The exhibit focuses on
the transitory nature of the
pandemic. The show runs
through Sept. 8.
Photographers included
in the exhibit include Jan
Becket, Sam Blair, Ron-
ald Butler, Phil Coleman,
Paul Cunningham, Chad
Delaney, Roger Dorband,
Claude Peschal Dutombe,
Roger Dorband’s ‘Arise’ is
shown at LightBox.
