    Piano trio
to perform
at Liberty
ASTORIA — The Liberty Theatre
will host Third Dimension with Hermit-
age Piano Trio for a week of concerts,
starting at 7 p.m. Sunday to Aug. 22.
Tickets are available at libertyastoria.org
for $20 to $40 each.
The Hermitage Piano Trio includes
Sergey Antonov, Ilya Kazantsev and
Misha Keylin. They’ll bring along vio-
linist Mark Berger, violinist Irina Mure-
sanu and pianist Asiya Korepanova.
The shows will feature solo and group
performances.
Sunday night features the piano trio;
Monday is a one-on-one with Kazant-
sev; Tuesday focuses on badly behaved
“Criminal Composers”; Wednesday goes
“Bach in Time” with the “Goldberg Vari-
ations” arranged for string trio; Thursday
is a one-on-one with Korepanova; Aug.
20 features “Four by Four” string quar-
tets; Aug. 21 is “88 by 20” with Kazant-
sev and Korepanova; and the weekend
closes with all performers.

ASTORIA — The Astoria Library has
announced the return of the 10th Street
Stage concert series.
The first concert has been rescheduled
for Aug. 25 at 6 p.m. and will feature Brian
Bovenizer and The New Old Stock.

for Long Beach
LONG BEACH, Wash. — The Wash-
ington State International Kite Festival
will be held Monday through Aug. 22.
The kite festival draws kite fliers from
around the world as well as thousands of
spectators.
Events, workshops and competitions
will be held throughout the week. Visit

LONG BEACH, Wash. — The Penin-
sula Arts Association will hold summer stu-
dio tours from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and
Saturday and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on
Sunday.
The public can explore the art and meet
22 of the artists on the Long Beach Penin-
sula during the event from Oysterville to
Ilwaco.
Works include hand-made items, metal
art, fused glass, glass mosaic, watercolor,
oil, pastel and acrylic paintings, ceram-
ics, jewelry upcycled and recycled art,
hand-made dolls, miniatures and art hand-
screened on T-shirts, wind chimes and
wood carvings, cards and collage art.

Free concert set
for Saturday
SEAVIEW — The Sou’wester Historic
Lodge will host Portland band Left Coast
Country and musician AC Sapphire for a
concert from 8 to 9:30 p.m. on Saturday at
the lodge, 3728 J Place.
The show will be open to all ages and
free to watch.
