Community
Competitions
formally known
as Open Class,
are part of the
annual tradition
of Clatsop
County fair.
While children
and youth
show their farm
animals and
4-H projects,
Community Competitions are open to
Clatsop County residents of ALL ages to
show their talents in art, floral, baking,
canning, photography, textiles, hobbies,
and horticulture.
Entries compete for ranking and
awards. All entries are on display
during fair week in the exhibit hall and
qualify to win the People’s Choice
award. Community Competitions are
completely volunteer run and uses
sponsors for many of its awards/prizes.
Stop by their both to cast your vote for
People’s Choice, ask about sponsoring,
or share ideas for next year’s
competitions.
