Coaster Theatre
debuts summer shows
CANNON BEACH — Coaster Theatre
Playhouse is hosting two summer shows at
Cannon Beach Park, off Second and Spruce
streets, behind the Cannon Beach Visitors
Center.
The fi rst show, “Sixty-Second Shake-
speare,” will be held at 6 p.m. on Fridays
through Sept. 3. The show involves a “col-
lection of humorous scenes and sonnets
from classic Shakespearian plays.”
The second show, “The Case of The
Coaster Clambake,” will be held at 6 p.m.
on Saturdays through Sept. 4. The show is a
murder mystery.
The shows will also be held in Astoria at
4 p.m. on July 25 in McClure Park.
Both shows are free to attend but dona-
tions are welcome.

ASTORIA — Tickets for a variety of
shows at the Liberty Theatre are avail-
able to purchase at libertyastoria.org
Upcoming shows will feature folk
musician John Craigie; Pigs on the
Wing, a Pink Floyd tribute band;
ESCAPE, a Journey tribute band; the
Hermitage Piano Trio; and others. The
theater will also host a free block party
on Aug. 7.
