NASELLE – A Lewis and Clark living his-
tory interactive program is happening 10 a.m.
to 4 p.m. July 10, and from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
July 11, at the Knappton Cove Heritage Center.
The program is free and donations are
welcome.
The museum inside the historic U.S. Quar-
antine Station building will be open from noon
to 4 p.m. both days.
Throughout the two-day event, costumed
members of the Pacifi c Northwest Living His-
torians will demonstrate the tools and skills uti-
lized during the Lewis and Clark expedition,
including handling fl intlock fi rearms, camp
cooking, starting fi res with fl int and steel, mak-
ing clothing and canoe paddles.
ASTORIA — Registration is open
for a children’s theater program at bit.ly/
3j8bmT0. The program, sponsored by the
Liberty Theatre and the Missoula Chil-
dren’s Theatre, will run as an in-person
camp July 12 to July 17.
Children entering grades fi rst through
12th are eligible to participate. The pro-
gram is free to all children. During the
camp, participants will learn about putting
together a theater show, then will run pub-
lic performances on July 17.
Registration is limited to a fi rst-come,
fi rst-served basis. Children will be sorted
into groups based on age.
Children will be required to wear
masks.
