    Exhibit honors Seaside Prom

Gallery seeks art,
schedules workshops
GEARHART — Registration is open
for two July workshops hosted by Trail’s
End Art Association at trailsendart.org.
Artist work is also sought for an upcom-
ing show.
The workshops will last three days
each. Deborah Stenberg will host “Still
Life with Traditional Pastels,” between
July 12 to July 14. The class is designed
for all levels.
Later in the month, Lynne Wintermute
will host “Oil and Cold Wax Magic” from
July 23 to July 25. The class is also open
to all skill levels. Participants will fi nish
six to eight paintings. Registration is also
open for a more advanced course hosted
by Wintermute, scheduled for September.
Art is sought by local artists for Trail’s
End Art Association’s 70th annual judged
show, scheduled for Aug. 6 to Aug. 29.
Wet, dry, mixed media, photography and
3D art is welcome.
Art should be submitted at the gallery,
656 A Street, either between 3 to 5 p.m. on
Aug. 1 or from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Aug.
2.

Annual arts camp scheduled
CANNON BEACH — Registration
is open for Cannon Beach Arts Associa-
tion’s 19th annual Summer Art Camp at
cannonbeacharts.org/kidsprograms
The camp will be held July 5 to July
9 virtually for children ages 3 and up.
Participants will complete courses at
home using art kits. Topics will include
mixed media, watercolor, drawing, col-
lage and sketch booking.
Adults are encouraged to participate
in the camp with their youth campers.
Each class includes an art kit with sup-
plies, pre-recorded instructor videos
and optional virtual check-ins. Local
drop off, pick up and shipping will be
available for getting the camp kits.
Some scholarships are available

Ilwaco actors to host virtual show
Ilwaco Timberland Regional Library
and the Peninsula Players will host a virtual
show at 7 p.m. Thursday via Zoom. Reg-
ister online at events.trl.org for the Zoom
link.
The show will be an “after dinner story
time for adults.” Seasoned theater actors
SEASIDE — A photo exhibit in honor
of the Seaside Promenade’s 100th anniver-
sary will be displayed at the Seaside Pub-
lic Library from Thursday until Aug. 7.
The exhibit features a collection of
photographs taken of the Prom and its sur-
roundings since its dedication on Aug. 7,
1921. Some photos come from the Sea-
side Museum & Historical Society’s pri-
vate collection.
The exhibit is available to view from
9 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday through
Thursday; 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Friday and
Saturday; and 1 to 4:30 p.m. on Sunday.
The exhibit is hosted by the library and
museum.

poems that are close to the actors’ hearts.
The Peninsula Players typically stage
three to fi ve shows per year at the River
City Theater in Ilwaco, Washington, but
haven’t been able to perform since early
2020 because the coronavirus pandemic.
