Bayside Singers looking for new members OCEAN PARK — Leaders of Bay- side Singers are looking for new members to join its singing group. The group rehearses at 1:40 p.m. on Tuesdays at the Ocean Park Lutheran Church, 24002 U St. Those interested in joining should call Andrea Patten, the group’s president, at 360-642-2916 or 360-355-7863. The ensemble is recruiting new- comers to rehearse in the early part of summer, then gear up for a December concert. The ability to read music and some experience singing in a group is preferred. Patten said membership dwindled during the shutdown. “We did lose a lot. We have several who are elderly or have health issues and a few moved away.” Those who remained had virtual gatherings online on Zoom, culminat- ing in a Christmas singalong version of “Oh Holy Night.” The group has existed on the Long Beach Peninsula since 2007. It is led by Milton Williams, a former pro- fessional musician who retired to Ocean Park, and funded, in part, by a grant from the Washington State Arts Commission.
