    Art fundraiser set for Astoria

Liberty Th eatre seeks input
ASTORIA — The Liberty Theatre is
hosting a customer survey until June 1 at
bit.ly/3tZqPq2
The survey’s results will help the
theater’s staff plan how to host events
moving forward. The theater plans on
presenting both online and in-person per-
formances, which follow health and safety
protocols.
The survey is anonymous.
ASTORIA — Astoria Visual Arts
will host an art sale/fundraiser from
noon to 4 p.m. Thursday to Sunday and
June 4-5 at the gallery, 1000 Duane St.
The sale is part of the organization’s
first “Artful Jumble,” where attendees
can buy donated items to create new
art. Proceeds benefit Astoria Visual
Arts.
Gently used art items and equipment
like books, frames, canvases, small
tables and textiles will be available.
Astoria Visual Arts members will have
early access to the sale and free items.

StoryTrail comes to Washington
PACIFIC COUNTY — Local Timberland
Regional Library branches have partnered
with local organizations to bring a StoryTrail
to various locations throughout the county
from May to August.
The trail is currently viewable near the
trailhead of the Willapa Hills Trail in South
Bend, Washington. The trail will be displayed
there until May 31. The trail features “Where
Do I Sleep?” by Jennifer Blomgren. The
book tells a tale about Pacifi c Northwest ani-
mals and includes a locally-inspired lullaby.
The trail will move to diff erent locations
throughout summer. It will be viewable in
Ilwaco during June; Naselle during July;
Raymond from Aug. 1 through Aug. 10; and
Ocean Park from Aug. 13 through Aug. 30.
Call the area’s regional library for the trail’s
specifi c location.
The trail is free to access and is open to
the public. Anyone needing special accom-
modations to participate in a library’s pro-
grams may contact the library one week in
advance.
