ASTORIA — The Second Saturday
Astoria Art Walk will be held from noon to
8 p.m. on Saturday. Attendees are expected
to wear masks and follow social distancing
guidelines.
1. Lower Columbia Q Center, 171
W. Bond St.
Yuji Hiratsuka in his studio.
Featuring several new and local artists
within the LGBTQIA+ community.
2. West Coast Artisans Gallery, 160
10th St.
Featuring the exhibit, “Finding Calm,”
including a new series of abstracts by
Oscar Nelson. Art created by Chris Bryant,
Crystal Neher, Cat Loyd, Mariko Maita,
Robin Davis and others will also be fea-
tured. Information about the gallery’s new
fine art printing service will also available.
3. McVarish Gallery, 160 10th St.
Featuring the new show “Out the Win-
dow or Take the Stairs.” Featured art-
ists include Colette Calasione, Colin Chil-
lag, Jill McVarish, Marjorie Scholl, Sam
Vaughan and friends, Casebeer, Tom
Giesler and Morrison Pierce.
4. Angi D Wildt Gallery, 106 10th
St.
Featuring art by Americana folk artists
Bill W. Dodge. He will be present during
art walk to meet visitors and personal-
ize copies of his print, “Hungry Humbert’s
Used Cars.”
5. Paul Polson Studio Gallery, 100
10th St.
Featuring new oil paintings by Paul Pol-
son, featuring the North Coast and Astoria.
Polson’s Strata and Pipe Series will also be
displayed.
6. Treasure Alley, 77 11th St.
Featuring pottery created by Linda
Perme, whose work includes textured and
under-glazed pieces like bud wall vases,
hanging hearts and butterflies, salt con-
tainers with spoons, heart rattles and tiny
bowls. Also featured inside Treasure Alley
is the Los Andes Shop, which features
alpaca, cotton and wool products.

7. Astoria Institute of Music and
Center for the Arts, 1159 Marine
Drive
Featuring acrylic paintings created by art-
ist Jenny Coccorese in the show “Anti-Her-
oines,” which portrays “wild feminine
archetypes created to be evil in false nar-
ratives through history when in fact they
had a strong positive light.” Also featured
are ceramics made by TKO; Mexican Lot-
tery card art by Paul Gagnon; surreal paint-
ings and mixed media art by Lisa Ackerman;
and more. Live music will be performed and
piano lessons are available. Call 503-395-

hours or to participate in projects.
8. Brumfield Gallery, 1033 Marine
Drive
Featuring artists Yuji Hiratsuka and Mor-
gan Brig. Hiratsuka’s show is titled “Finding
Beauty Through the Synthesis of Japanese
Tradition and Globalized Western Consum-
erism.” His work communicates a personal
narrative through a carefully crafted visual
language of symbolism and metaphor. His
pieces express the accumulated experience of
his cultural heritage, which is a synthesis of
