Wild Words,” during the fi fth Coast Week-
end Book Club meeting. The event will be

mother and granddaughter who explore
nature and language together.
Smith will talk about the inspiration
behind her book and her writing process,
participate in an interview and answer
attendee questions during the event. The

Smith is a poet and children’s book

Coast Weekend Book Club’s June meet-
ing will feature Astoria author Florence
Sage’s book “The Man Who Whistled, The
Woman Who Wished: A Polish-Canadian
Story.” The meeting will be held at 7 p.m.
on June 2.
Sage’s book features poems and prose
inspired by her family and her own expe-
riences. The book is available to pur-
chase locally at RiverSea Gallery and local
bookstores.
