    Soup Bowl starts Saturday
The Harbor’s annual Soup Bowl is
scheduled for Saturday.
The soup bowl is an annual fundraiser
for The Harbor, which supports local survi-
vors of domestic and sexual violence.
Event tickets will contain a pack of
passes that can be exchanged for a free
bowl of soup from participating restaurants
with a purchase of $20 at harbornw.org/
soupbowl. Bowls of soup will be available
throughout May.
Participating restaurants include Bridge-
water Bistro, The Green Door Cafe, T.
Paul’s Supper Club, T. Paul’s Urban Cafe,
Good to Go, Arnie’s Cafe, Ship Out, Peter
Pan Market & Deli, Fort George Brewery
+ Public House, Cannon Beach Hardware
+ Public House and Seasons Cafe.

Coaster Th eatre seeks actors
CANNON BEACH — Coaster The-
atre Playhouse is accepting audition submis-
sions until May 4 for a murder mystery and
Shakespeare pieces that will be performed this
summer.
To audition, submit an audio or voice
recording of one minute or shorter that includes
you singing “Happy Birthday” and a 30-sec-
ond poem or monologue to info@coasterthe-
atre.com. In the body of your email, include
your name; phone number; age; height; a brief
list of past roles; whether you have a prefer-
ence between performing in the murder mys-
tery, the Shakespeare performances or both. If
you’re interested in performing in the murder
mystery show, you should include whether you
have a preference for character role.
The shows will be cast by May 7 and
rehearsals begin May 10 through a combina-
tion of virtual and in-person sessions. Both the
murder mystery and Shakespeare shows will
run between July and September.

Plant sale set for this weekend
NEHALEM — Nehalem Bay Garden
Club’s annual plant sale will be held from
10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to
1 p.m. Sunday at 43080 North Fork Road.
Perennials, shrubs, annuals, houseplants,
vegetables and seeds will be available to
buy. On Saturday, the “Sharpenator” will be
available to sharpen tools for attendees.
Cash and checks will be accepted.
Attendees are expected to wear masks and
bring their own boxes. Sale funds will be
donated to local organizations.
Vendors sought for local markets
Astoria Sunday Market, Seaside Farm-
ers Market and North Coast Food Web are
accepting new food vendors.
Farmers and food producers are sought for
the Astoria Sunday Market. To apply, contact

Food producers who sell produce, eggs,
meat and cheese products are sought for the
Seaside Farmers Market. To apply, call 541-

Raffl e to benefi t land conservancy
CANNON BEACH — A raffl e of a
painting by artist Greg Navratil will benefi t
the North Coast Land Conservancy.
Raffl e tickets cost $10 each and are
available at DragonFire Gallery or by call-
ing 503-436-1533. The winning ticket will
be drawn during the Earth and Ocean Arts
Festival, scheduled for Sept. 17-19.
The painting, “Onward,” is an acrylic
painting on canvas. The painting depicts a
Pacifi c Northwest forest.
All proceeds will go toward the land
conservancy for its purchase of the Rainfor-
est Reserve.
Guitarist will
perform Saturday
SEAVIEW — The Sou’wester His-
toric Lodge will host Seattle guitar-
ist RL Heyer for a concert from 8 to
9:30 p.m. on Saturday at the lodge,
3728 J Pl.
The show will be appropriate for all
ages and is free to watch. Masks and
social distancing will be required.
