Community education classes open to locals ASTORIA — Registration is open for spring community education courses at Clatsop Community College. Community education courses are open to local residents. Virtual gardening workshop series will start Saturday The Master Gardeners of Grays Har- bor and Pacifi c Counties are off ering a free series of online workshops starting on Sat- urday and running through May. The workshops will provide informa- tion on successfully gardening and growing vegetables. The classes are designed to take participants from planning gardens to plant- ing and maintaining it. Rhett’s Ranch plans Easter egg hunt CHINOOK, Wash. — Rhett’s Ranch will host an Easter egg hunt Saturday at the ranch, located off Chinook Dyke Road. Kids’ events are staggered through- out the day based on age group. At 1 p.m., ages 3 and under can participate, followed by ages 4 to 6 at 1.30 p.m., ages 7 to 9 at 2 p.m. and ages 10 and older at 2.30 p.m. The ranch will reopen at 7 p.m. for a “glow hunt” for children ages 13 and older. Kids should bring fl ashlights. Rhett’s Ranch is a 40-acre farm located between Chinook and Ilwaco, Washing- ton. The farm features outdoor toys like Jenga and tire gyms for children to enjoy. Hoff man Gallery opens April show MANZANITA — Hoff man Center for the Arts’ April show will run until April 25 at the gallery, 594 Laneda Ave. The show features artists Sherrie Wolf and Mary Roberts. Two of Wolf’s less- er-known pieces will be displayed, “His- trionics” and “Found Paintings.” The pieces feature hand-colored etchings, and black and white paintings. Roberts’ pieces are for her show, “Shape and Surface.” The collection fea- tures “functional wheel-thrown vessels in subtle seacoast colors and textures.” The gallery is open from 1 to 5 p.m. Friday through Sunday.
