Music scholarships available to high school seniors OREGON — The Oregon Music Hall of Fame is accepting applications for its 2020 scholarships. The deadline to apply is May 15. High school seniors who’ll graduate in 2020 are eligible. Students must have plans to either major or minor in music at a U.S. college or university. In 2020, the hall awarded four scholar- ships of $2,500. Portland-based radio sta- tions KNRK 94.7 FM and KGON 92.3 FM, and Elliot, Powell, Baden and Baker Insurance contributed to the scholarship fund. Scholarship recipients for 2020 include Isabella Morrill, of Warrenton; Taylor Youn of Lake Oswego; Nicholas Weath- ers of Keizer; and Avery Hsieh of Corval- lis. History museum to host online lecture Columbia Pacific Heritage Museum and Washington State Parks will host a virtual lecture at 2 p.m. March 10 at facebook. com/columbiapacificheritagemuseum/. Aaron Webster and Stephen Wood, interpretive specialists for Washington State Parks will discuss Long Beach Pen- insula tourism history. The pair will also show historical photos during the lecture. The museum will host another lec- ture on April 14, focusing on the IR&N Railroad. Rock musician to perform Saturday SEAVIEW — The Sou’wester His- toric Lodge will host Seattle rock musician Navid Eliot for a livestreamed concert from 8 to 9:30 p.m. on Saturday. Eliot is part of the band Bodies on the Beach. The performance will be hosted on the lodge’s Instagram, instagram.com/ souwester. The show is appropriate for all ages and is free to watch.
