Art requested for
Sou’wester concert
2022 Oregon stamps scheduled for Saturday
Oregon Department of Fish and Wild-
life is requesting art submissions for its
2022 stamps.
Between Aug. 27 and Sept. 24, artists
can submit entries for the department’s
Habitat Conservation Stamp, Waterfowl
Stamp and Upland Game Bird Stamp.
Artists do not have to live in Oregon to
participate.
The winning artist in each contest
receives a $2,000 award. Winning art-
work is used to produce collector stamps
and other promotional items with sale
proceeds benefi tting Oregon fi sh, wildlife
and habitats.
Habitat Conservation Stamp entries
must feature an animal in its natural habi-
tat; Waterfowl Stamp entries must feature
the Northern Shoveler in its natural habi-
tat setting; and Upland Game Bird Stamp
entries must feature the Chukar partridge
in its natural habitat setting.

Lodge will host Portland-based sing-
er-songwriter Joshua Thomas for a lives-
tream concert from 8 to 9:30 p.m. on
Saturday.
The performance will be hosted on
the lodge’s Instagram, instagram.com/
souwester.
The show is appropriate for all ages
and is free to watch.

A panel will judge artwork based on

Warrenton library seeks volunteers
WARRENTON — Warrenton Commu-
nity Library will host a virtual volunteer
information session at 6 p.m. on Jan. 21.
To participate, call the library ahead of
time at 503-861-8156 to register over the
phone or visit warrentonlibrary.org and
sign up online under the “Libraries Need
Joshua Thomas
Friends” link.
Attendees will learn how they can sup-
port Warrenton Community Library by vol-
unteering through a Friends organization.
Friends groups have historically supported
libraries through many avenues, including
book sales.
