Some sipped champagne and enjoyed live music Tues- day night while others headed to the Astoria Riverwalk for a run and a brisk start to the new year. Dozens of people gathered at Fort George Tuesday night to enjoy live music, try Fort George’s new beer, Magnetic Fields, and ring in the new year together. Jazz band Equinox Plus entertains diners at the Bridgewater Bistro on New Year’ Eve. Equinox usually features flutist Shelley Loring, guitarist David Drury and bassist Todd Pederson, but Tuesday night they brought in special guest Ken Kirby on drums.
