ILWACO, Wash. — Imagine Dad has
set fire to the family home because he stub­
bornly wanted to try cooking the Thanks­
giving turkey in a deep-fryer.
Then, imagine him and Mom trying to
make the best of it by taking their kids to an
Italian restaurant — where they are the only
customers.
That’s just one of the 10 not-so-imagi-
nary vignettes being played out by llwaco
High School students in their next produc­
tion, “Parents Just Don’t Understand.”
The comedy about parent-teenager rela­
tionships will be performed at 7 p.m. Nov.
22, 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. Nov. 23 and 2 p.m.
Nov. 24 in the high school’s choir room at
404 School Road, llwaco, Wash., which is
turned into a black box style theater. Admis­
sion is $7 for adults and $5 for students and
seniors at the door
In the scene described, Dad is played
by Cole Allen and Mom is played by Car­
olina Mendez. As their teenage children,
Will Murray and Holly Willing are not
impressed.
