2019 Astoria Regatta Queen’s Coronation
Wednesday, August 7, 7 p.m. • Liberty Theatre
For 125 years, The Astoria Regatta has been represented by a distinguished court of
young women from Clatsop County high schools. Throughout the year, the court gives
speeches and attends parades.
This was the third year of the Regatta Court Mentorship Program, which aligns each of
the court members with a leader who mentored her throughout the year.
Last year, Catherine Tapales was crowned the 2018 Regatta Queen. The new queen will be
chosen from the four 2019 Regatta Princess Ambassadors during the Queen’s Coronation
on Wednesday, Aug 7, at the Liberty Theatre

CATHERINE TAPALES
Queen Catherine Tapales is a senior at
Warrenton High School. She is
involved with Student Council, the
National Honors Society,
Communicare and is the head
statistician for the wrestling team.
Tapales plans to attend Oregon State
University and eventually enter the
medical field. She enjoys hanging out
with friends and exploring new places.
