On Tuesday, Feb 26, Fort George will donate 10 per- cent of all sales upstairs from 4:30 to 10 p.m. and provide that space for the station to fundraise. It’s an evening of fun, food, drinks and KMUN. There will be a silent auc- tion, raffle and KMUN swag available. The silent auction is packed with opportuni- ties, including a week- end in Sisters with skiing and eating at local restau- rants; a birthday party at the Astoria Armory with pizza, ice cream and toys; and the chance to be a programmer on KMUN — 20 programmers have offered to have the win- ner on their shows playing music, chatting and maybe sparking your desire to be on this community radio station. Local musicians are offering three les- sons for the highest bid- der. We will also be offer- ing a vintage turntable along with signed local albums, including by Krist Novoselic and Nirvana! The raffle prize is a drive up to the radio tower on Megler Mountain, just up from Dismal Nitch in Washington, with Sta- tion Manager Graham Nystrom. You will get an inside look at the facility that produces 5,000 watts of great community radio. Lunch will be included.
