At Casino Night, the roaring ’20s return
ASTORIA — Get
ready for a Roaring Good
Time at 6:30 p.m. Satur-
day, Feb. 16, at the Heri-
tage Museum.
The Clatsop County
Historical Society’s
annual Roaring 20s
Speakeasy Casino Night
promises a fun time for
all. There will be games
of Black Jack, Roulette,
Craps, and for an addi-
tional fee, Texas Hold
’em poker.
Prizes for top chip
holders and best 1920s
costume will be awarded
at the end of the night.
Entry is $15 for an
individual, $25 for a cou-
ple. Get in on the action
at the Texas Hold ’em
tournament for an addi-
tional buy-in of $30, $40
or $50 (call for details).
The museum is at
Exchange and 16th
streets.
All proceeds support
the Clatsop County His-
torical Society, a non-
profi t educational orga-
nization dedicated to
preserving and present-
ing the history of Clatsop
County and the surround-
ing area.

ASTORIA — The
TEN-FIFTEEN series,
created by Pier Pressure
Productions, will make
its fi fth appearance in the
presently-under-construc-
tion performance space at
1015 Commercial St.
The Pier returns to its
original format on Friday,
Feb. 15, with two perfor-
mances of “An Astorian
Cabaret” at 10:15 a.m. and
10:15 p.m.
Mick Alderman,
Rhonda Alderman, Lori
Honl, Slab Slabinski, Jor-
dan Griffi n, Amber Ble-
cha, Nancy Montgom-
ery, Karen Bain, Bill Ham
and Richard Bowman will
perform for this month’s
fundraiser designed to
showcase the versatility of,
and to stimulate interest in,
the future home of Asto-
ria’s black box theater.
This is a one-day-
only event. Donations are
welcome.

‘Robin Hood,’ a merry musical
adventure, opens Saturday
ASTORIA — The Astor
Street Opry Company pres-
ents its annual Children’s
Theatre production with per-
formances of “Robin Hood:
The Musical.”
The show is produced by
special arrangement with
Pioneer Drama Service, Inc.,
Englewood, Colorado, and
directed by Astor Street Opry
Company veteran Patricia
VonVintage.
Robin Hood is the outlaw
of Sherwood Forest, lead-
ing a merry life with his fol-
lowers. Anyone needing a
place to live or food to eat
is welcome in the green-
wood. Impoverished citi-
zens led by Robin are wag-
ing a battle against the evil
Prince John. He has taken
the place of King Richard the
Lion-Hearted, who has gone
on a crusade. Lady Merle of
Cornwall, however, hopes to
