Food parade set for next week
The Daily Astorian
The Astoria Fire Depart-

mas Food Parade will wind
through neighborhoods next
week.
Fire engines will parade
through neighborhoods in the
city on Tuesday, Wednesday
and Thursday from 6:30 to

Firefighters and other vol-

Fire Department’s goal this
year is to collect over 5,000
pounds of food.
The parade will start in
at Emerald Heights through
Alderbrook and Uppertown

day, the parade will start at
8th Street and Franklin Ave-
nue and continue through
the upper hills of Astoria.
On Thursday, the parade will
start at Columbia Street and
move through the south hills
of Astoria.
People who will not be
home during the parade can
still drop off a bag of non-per-
ishable food items at the Asto-
ria Fire Department at 555
