Submit your shorts
for film festival
CLATSKANIE — A festival
of short indie films is
coming to Clatskanie.
Promoters Ray and
Migdalia Etheridge invite
filmmakers from Oregon
and Washington to submit
their work for consider-
ation.
Films must be no
longer than 15 minutes,
and may be of any genre,
such as comedy, drama,
horror, animation or
documentary. Filmmak-
ers from anywhere in the
world are eligible.
Films will be selected
by a five-judge panel on a
point system and graded
on their technical merits,
acting, script and enter-
tainment value.
The judges are not
looking for home movies
or silly YouTube videos,
but for serious, well-
made films with good
stories, Migdalia said.
Films with the highest
points will be screened at
the festival, taking place
at the Clatskanie Cultur-
al Center in August 2019.
Award certificates will be
presented in many catego-
ries. The Etheridges expect
to receive about 150 films;
40 will be selected for the
event.
For more information,
email the Etheridges at clats-
kaniefilmfest@yahoo.com.
