NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Clatsop County Board of
Commissioners will conduct first reading of Ordinance 18-12 at a
public hearing on Wednesday, November 7, 2018, at 6:00 PM, at
the Judge Guy Boyington Building, 857 Commercial Street, Asto-
ria, OR, to consider the following:
Ordinance #18-12: Cowlitz IndianTribe/Wallooskee-Youngs Rivers
Restoration: A request to change the comprehensive plan and
zoning designations for approximately 193 acres of restored tid-
al marsh, wetlands, and adjacent riparian habitat at the conflu-
ence of the Wallooskee and Youngs rivers. The requested map
amendments would change the comprehensive plan designation
from Rural Agricultural Lands to Natural and the zoning designa-
tion from Exclusive Farm Use (EFU) to Aquatic Natural (AN). The
property is identified as T8N R09W SEC21 TLs 602, 800, and 901,
and SEC28, TLs 300 and 400.
Copies of all documents are available for inspection at the Clatsop
County Planning Division at 800 Exchange St, Suite 100, during
normal business hours (M-F, 7:30-4) at no cost, and paper copies
may be obtained at reasonable cost. The staff report will also be
posted on the Planning Division’s Pending Land Use Applications
website https://www.co.clatsop.or.us/projects.
All interested parties are invited to testify in person by attending
the hearing or in writing by addressing comments to the Clatsop
