Astoria Armory Community Center Astoria Armory Community Center 1636 Exchange Street Astoria, OR 97103 Mission Statement: A Non-profit Organization Improving Astoria's Quality of Life by Hosting Community Programs, Athletic and Special Events, Music, and Entertainment in the Historic Astoria Armory. PROGRAMS: Anti-bullying project is a free and confidential program designed for both children and adults who experience harassment on any level, allowing anyone to speak up and be heard. This program is also intended to find solutions to bullying in the schools, workplaces, and online. K.I.D. Program (Kindness, Involvement, Direction) K.I.D. Volunteer Group is designed to promote our youth’s involvement in their community. We encourage positive involvement in all activities. Our goal is to increase the self-esteem of the participant and those they interact with while giving back to their local community. Astoria All Star Junior Roller Derby is a free program each Saturday from 10:00 am to 11:30 am for kids 7 years old to 18 years old. This program is designed to teach children how to roller skate, and learn the sport of roller derby. The main focus of this program is sportsmanship, teamwork and self-esteem while playing the sport of roller derby. EVENTS: Community Skate Nights are held almost every Friday and Saturday night from 5-9pm. Admission is only $3.00, and skate rentals are $3.00. Come on out and enjoy a fun evening at this historic Astoria treasure, the Astoria Armory! The Astoria Armory Community Center is available to rent. From weddings to formal balls, to trade shows and large-scale music events, the Astoria Armory is THE venue in Clatsop County to present it. Our event planner and host of dedicated volunteers will see to every detail to make your special event successful. The mission of the Lower Columbia Q Center is to be a safe and welcoming resource and support service to the LGBTIQ+ community, friends, families, and allies of the Lower Columbia region. The Lower Columbia Q Center envisions a thriving, equitable, and inclusive community that celebrates diversity. The Astoria Armory Community Center is home to the Armory Skate Park. The Armory Skatepark is an indoor skatepark and community center located downstairs at the Astoria Armory. We are skater built and run and we also present live music and events.
