Mission Statement:
PROGRAM OVERVIEW
We are a preliminary competition to the Miss Oregon and Miss America pageants and award scholarship money to all who
participate. The Miss America program is the #1 provider of scholarships for women in the entire world. In 2015 we awarded
over $6000 to local women. The competition is open to women aged 13 to 24 who live, work or attends school in Clatsop,
Columbia and Tillamook counties. Contestants are judged in interview, fitness, talent and eveningwear. Not only do contestants
receive scholarship money for school but gain interview and public speaking skills, poise and confidence, and must select a
platform to be a spokesperson for. Community service and volunteerism is strongly encouraged. A princess program is open for
younger girls (5-12) as a mentorship opportunity which emphasizes fun.
FUNDRAISING EVENTS
Our main fundraiser is a dinner held the night before our pageant. It features a dinner
buffet, live auction, and speeches by both outgoing titleholders and contestants. It
is made possible through donations by local businesses for everything including the
banquet room, food, linens, & the auction items and worked exclusively by individuals
who are donating their time.
CORPORATE GIVING OPPORTUNITIES
We have a four-tiered sponsorship system ranging from $125 - $1000. Benefits for
sponsorships range from advertising in our program book to tickets to the pageant
and everything in between. In addition, all sponsors can book contestants and / or
titleholders for their own individual events at no charge.
SPONSORSHIP
In addition to the corporate sponsorships, contestants are given the opportunity to
“build your own scholarship” by selling program book ads. Half of money from these
ads goes to the program’s scholarship fund and the other half goes directly into a
scholarship fund for the contestant selling the ad. Please consider supporting any
contestants that ask you or your business to purchase an ad.
DONATIONS
Items for the Friday night auction are welcome as are in kind donations for services
such as hair, make-up, fitness and wardrobe.
