Mission Statement:
The mission of the Astoria Ferry
Group is to promote Columbia River
maritime history by restoring,
preserving, and operating the historic
Astoria Ferry, the Tourist No 2, in its
original home of Astoria, Oregon.
Your donations are tax deductible to
the extent allowed by law.
One of Oregon’s Most Endangered Places.
The Astoria Ferry Group is working to preserve and return to service a unique piece of Columbia River history, so we can all
share in the adventure and beauty of being out on the river.
Thanks to private donations and grants from Restore Oregon, Oregon Community Foundation, and Oregon State Historic
Preservation Office, work is underway to save this historic vessel.
The restoration project provides educational opportunities and hands-on training for students in the Tongue Point Job Corps
Seamanship program and the Historic Preservation Department at Clatsop Community College. All work is being accomplished
in a manner to meet US Coast Guard specifications for certification to carry passengers. Meanwhile the Ferry is available for
private dockside event rentals.

welcome to call “Ahoy!” Bring your classroom to the Ferry for a fun and exciting history lesson.
Thanks to all the marvelous Astoria Ferry supporters and volunteers (past, current and future) who share the excitement of
having the Astoria Ferry “Tourist No. 2” back on the Astoria waterfront where she belongs!
