Mission Statement:
The Astoria Band Boosters (ABB) is
a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization
dedicated to the educational and musical
goals of the Astoria School District bands
through its work with the students and
directors, and to provide volunteer and
financial support for those participating
in the band program.
Vision/Goals:
The Astoria Band Boosters
believe that all students within the
Astoria School District are entitled to a
comprehensive Music curriculum
education. It is the Mission of the Astoria
Band Boosters, in partnership with the
School administration, to enhance the
Band program by providing extra needed
program supplies, off-site educational
instruction, special event activities as well
as special or replacement instruments
and equipment. We pledge to promote a
spirit of camaraderie and goodwill within
all areas of the schools and at all times
encourage our students to be the best
ambassadors possible for the Astoria
Schools.
FUNDRAISING EVENTS
The Astoria Band Boosters conduct several fundraising events throughout the year,
most notably the monthly Can and Bottle Recycling drive which takes place the
first Sunday of each month at the Astoria High School from 1:00-3:00 PM. All community
members are encouraged to save their redeemable plastic and glass bottles and
aluminum cans to bring to the school on the first Sundays. The band members sort
and bag the items for redemption while earning credits to cover their personal fees
and costs of band activities.
Another activity, which is currently taking place, is our annual raffle.
This year’s raffle will have three top prizes; a Nintendo Switch game console, a
Cannon Beach hotel and dinner package, and zip line passes from High Life Adventures.
Tickets can be purchased for just $15 from your local band member.
The ABB also conducts an annual 4th of July fireworks sale and our “I’m With the
Band” sponsorship program.
You don’t have to have a student in the band in order to help. To find out more
