Group show on the theme of IMAGINE, inspiration from the lyrics of
John Lennon. Working in a diverse range of media, over 30 DragonFire
artists will interpret what we hold in our hearts and minds as a view of
the world we would like to see.

Portland, Oregon roots artist Lloyd Jones has recorded six critically
acclaimed albums, toured internationally and racked up dozens of
major awards and accolades. He’s a relentless road dog, hitting
festival stages, Delbert’s annual Sandy Beaches cruises, and clubs all
across the land to enthusiastic crowds who can’t get enough of his
swampy blues, his back-porch picking, his serious-as-anthrax funk,
soul, roadhouse two-beats and old-school rhythm and blues.
From his roots in muddy Oregon soil, he’s forged a 30-plus-year
career as an impassioned singer and fierce guitar slinger, a clever
and soulful songwriter, a band leader, record producer and an almost

winning soul, blues and R&B vocalist/
harmonicist/songwriter Curtis Salgado is
a one-of-a-kind talent whose music is as
compelling as his story. From co-fronting
The Robert Cray Band, to leading his own
band (and recording nine solo albums),
to helping transform John Belushi into
“Jollet” Jake Blues, to touring the country
with Steve Miller and Santana, he is a true musical giant. NPR calls
him “a blues icon” with a “huge voice.” Salgado earned a reputation
for high-intensity performances and a repertoire inspired by his
encyclopedic knowledge of soul, blues and R&B music.
He won the 2010 Blues Music Award (BMA) for Soul Blues Artist
Of The Year and went on to win the coveted BMA for B.B. King
Entertainer Of The Year for his Alligator debut, Soul Shot. Blues Revue
says Salgado’s music is “triumphant, joyful, blues-soaked R&B” and
declared him to be “one of the most soulful, honest singers ever.”

Angelita Surmon, kiln-formed glass & paintings. The artist’s work is in the
permanent collection of the Portland Art Museum.
Ann Fleming’s distinctive figurative and narrative bronze sculpture is presented
in palm size to scale to Public Sculpture of “Midori,” a signature work of
the sculptor.
Ivan McLean is one of the leading public sculptors working today. Working
with the City of Cannon beach on a site specific work, his projects includes
Nike & the World Trade Center in Long Beach, California.
