Join us Saturday, Nov. 3rd for the opening of our “Northwest Minutiae” exhibit.
Known for his printmaking, local artist Stirling Gorsuch is presenting his
first collection of oil paintings. These dreamy vistas reflect the artist’s intricate
connection with the Pacific Northwest. Gorsuch translates the landscape into a
vivid color experience through texture, composition and form.
Also showing is Washington artist Helga Winter who creates complex inside-
out book reconstructions. Winter’s colorful paper and mixed-media assemblages
embody the patience, quietude and peacefulness of her process.
Stone sculptor Josh Henrie will be giving a carving demonstration from 11am
to 2pm outside the gallery. Henrie’s use of raw stone, smooth detail work and
thoughtful chisel marks correspond to bring out the soul of the stone and the
artist’s deep passion for the raw beauty of the Pacific Northwest.
Join us in the afternoon for live guitar music by long-time local Wes
Wahrmund. Come meet the artists and experience their work in person during
our gallery reception from 5 to 7pm.
We are located at 251 N. Hemlock St. in Cannon Beach, open 7 days a week.
Telephone number 503.436.2681.
