GEARHART — The next Gearhart First Saturday Art Walk
takes place 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 4.

Featuring jewelry artist Donna
Mareina of DM Designs. Donna began
jewelry design as the perfect beach
pastime after leaving a background of
advertising and becoming a full-time
Gearhart resident. Color, pattern,
texture and nature all have a part
in her work, gathering inspiration
from ocean skies, sandy beaches and
botanical elements. Collecting mate-
rials while traveling, she incorporates
unusual finds and continues to look
for the unique. In addition to pieces
on display in the gallery, she creates
custom designs.

Trail’s End Art Association’s 68th
Annual Judged Show will be a part of
the popular Gearhart First Saturday
Art Walk. The award ceremony
announcing this year’s winners for

each category of art plus Best in Show
and the Mayor’s Award takes place
at 3 p.m.
The Annual Judged Show is
the only event all year that is open
to both Trail’s End members and
nonmembers. The variety and quality
of art are not to be missed.
ILWACO — Friday, Aug. 3,
marks the next Ilwaco Art
Walk, when 20 businesses
around town will open for
a festive evening, 4 to 7
p.m.
Features include a
special retrospective
showing of paintings by
Eric Wiegardt and pottery
and sculpture by David
Campiche at the Columbia
Pacific Heritage Museum.

Gewin, new mixed-media
paintings by Marie Powell,
beach baskets by Susan
Spence, gold and gemstone
