The historic Cannon Beach Bakery was founded by John McRoberts in 1936
and has long since become a tradition for families far and wide.
As of April 2018, Gilbert “Gib” & Deanna Hammond are the new owners of the
Bakery and are committed to honoring the traditions of the families of bakers who
preceded them. It is through caring and commitment, their passion for authentic
baking, use of local vendors and community involvement that they are inspired to
continue this tradition.
Gib brings the community 30 years of baking excellence. He was previously the
Master Baker for Bob’s Red Mill and the Bakery/Pastry Manager for New Seasons
Markets. Deanna’s expertise is in Finance, Marketing and Business Management.
The pair are dedicated to contributing to their community and are excited to
extend that dedication to Cannon Beach and the North Oregon Coast.
The Bakery continues to offer all the favorites from decades past. Haystack
Bread, Almond Poppy Seed Muffins, Apple Cider Doughnuts, Sailor Jacks…the
list goes on.
The Hammond’s are also adding a few delectable items of their own, including
an artisan bread program. All offerings are handcrafted and baked fresh, daily,
onsite.
Iconic items sell out fast, they would like to encourage you to place orders in
advance, so you are able to enjoy your favorite treats.

Commercial Adjustment company started in the early 20’s. It was named
Commercial Adjustment Company as it’s origin was on Commercial Street. Now
located at 901 Marine Drive, owners, Kent & Barbara Birdeno are here to help.
Over the last 30 years Kent and Barbara helped collect business payments on
medical, commercial, retail, wholesale and bad checks. They offer personal
contacts in Clatsop County plus referral service to agencies around the world.
