Wild Goose Sale returns to
Highway 202 this month
The Daily Astorian
The Wild Goose Sale
was started a number of
years ago by the then Olney
Store owners. Each par-
ticipant put a goose figure
by their house if they were
participating in the sale.
This year’s dates are July
20 to 22. Oregon Highway
202 residents from Fulta-
no’s, to the side roads, to
around Youngs River Road,
who would like to partici-
pate, are advised get their
garage sales ready and post
a “Goose” by the driveway
during the sale.
To have an address
included in a map, call the
Olney Grange, 89342 High-
way 202, at 503-325-1288
by Tuesday, and leave a
message with the name and
address and phone num-
ber. The maps will be avail-
able at the grange hall July
21. Call the same number to
reserve a rental table at the
grange hall for July 21 (lim-
ited number available).

AHS Class of 1998 convenes,
seeks donations for reunion
The Daily Astorian
The Astoria High School
Class of 1998’s 20-year
reunion, July 20 to 22, is a
weekend of making mem-
ories with old friends, din-
ing and celebrating, and a
family day at the lake for all
classmates and their loved
ones.
Because of a very limited
budget, the Reunion Com-
mittee requests that local
businesses donate prizes to
be given to the attendees,
many of whom are traveling
from afar to see their fellow
alumni.
