And they’re off! The Running of the Trolls is fun for runners and walkers alike.

Distance choices: 1.5-mile
run/walk, 3.0-mile run/walk or
5.75-mile run.
Parking: Parking is avail-
able at the Clatsop County
Fairgrounds. Please let the
attendants know you are par-
ticipating in the Troll Run. Sat-
urday parking passes will be
handed out upon check-in.
How to register: Fill out
registration form and mail with
your check to: Running of the
Trolls, P.O. Box 34, Astoria,
OR 97103. Make checks pay-
able to S.M.F.A.
You can also register at the
Festival Information Booth on
Friday, June 15, or on race day
during check-in from 7 a.m. to
8 a.m.

lot.
Cost: $25 entry fee

T-shirt, or …
• Option #2: Three-day
admission wristband to the
2018 Scandinavian Midsum-
mer Festival. Also included is
free parking for Saturday, June
16, and a bottle of water.
Race day check-in: 7 to 8
a.m. at Clatsop County Fair-
grounds building entrance.
T-shirts or Festival wristbands,
as well as parking pass and
water, are distributed at this
time.
Awards: Overall top male,
female and youth finisher/run-
ner in 5.75-mile run will be
awarded prizes.
Course: Leave Clatsop
County Fairgrounds park-
ing lot, follow Walluski Loop
Road to Labiske Lane turn off,
turn around and follow same
route back to fairgrounds.
Mostly flat terrain with one
gradual hill on a scenic, coun-
try road.
Dogs: Sorry, no dogs on
any of the courses (except reg-
istered service or guide dogs).

Wake up with the Trolls for
a fun run Saturday morning,
June 16, through the beautiful
Olney countryside.
The run/walk is a great way
to support your local youth
through scholarships and burn
a few extra calories before
enjoying all the delicious
foods at the festival!
Our very own resident troll
with be on hand to cheer or
chase, depending on how his
beauty sleep goes the night
before. He will also be accom-
panied by a little Swedish girl
who will be ready to hand out
bottles of water when you are
feeling parched!
Troll attire or any other
Scandinavian outfits are encour-
aged but not required. So put on
your running/walking shoes and
come have some fun!
