sponder Safety Fair will
be held 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Saturday, June 2, at the
Pacific County Building,
7013 Sandridge Road, Long
Beach, Wash.
It’s an opportunity to
have fun while learning
more about safety programs
on the Peninsula.
Visit and ask questions of
our dedicated first respond-
ers who provide immediate
care and safety in times of
crisis.
Classes and activities on
staying safe include:
• 11:30 a.m. “Fraud
against Seniors,” presented
by Attorney Jason Quack-
enbush
• 1 p.m. “Fraud against
Teens,” presented by Attor-
ney Jason Quackenbush
• 2 p.m. “Bug Out Bag,”
presented by Jackie Sheldon
Hands-on learning
opportunities for adults and
children include:
• Hands-only CPR, fire
extinguisher class, how to
program NOAA radios
• Drunk driver impair-
ment goggle experience,
inflatable fire safety house
• Children fingerprint ID,
Project Life Saver demon-
stration

FORT STEVENS — The
Oregon Parks and Recre-
ation Department will host
a Family Fun Disc Golf day
11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday,
June 2, at the Fort Stevens
Historic Area.
All ages and abilities are
welcome, even first-timers!
A temporary 10-hole
course will be set up on the
grounds, and a limited num-
ber of discs will be available
for use. The event will be
fun for pro disc golfers and
anyone interested in learning
how to play.
Take your shot on the
10th hole to win a prize with
a hole-in-one.
June 2 is Oregon State
Parks Day. All day-use park-
ing and standard overnight
camping is free.

Catch some fun at Coffenbury
on Free Fishing Day June 2
FORT STEVENS — Fort
Stevens State Park, along
with the Oregon Depart-
ment of Fish & Wildlife and
the Rainland Flycasters,
will host Free Fishing Day
activities at Coffenbury
Lake from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Saturday, June 2.
A kids fishing derby
will be held with prizes and
a “biggest fish” competi-
tion. A limited number of
Golf with a spin
poles, tackle and bait will
be provided for partici-
pants. There will be fly
casting demos put on by
the Rainland Flycasters. A
BBQ lunch will be served
and prizes awarded for the
biggest fish.
June 2 is Free Fishing
Day and Oregon State Parks
Day. No license is required
to fish, and there will be no
day-use or camping fees.
