Local artist captures Astoria rally
By NOEL THOMAS
For The Daily Astorian
I
was late getting to the March for Our Lives rally in downtown Astoria on March 24, having had to park blocks away. In the pour-
ing rain, hundreds of people gathered by the Post Office in support of March for Our Lives, a nationwide demonstration to support
gun control. Adults and children standing under umbrellas in dark hooded rain gear contrasted with those wearing bright orange.
The wintry weather lent itself to the seriousness of the day. It was too wet for drawing, but these sketches were drawn from photos I took.
Neither wind, nor rain, nor sleet, nor hail keeps
Joan Herman from getting where she wants to be.

who shouted at demonstrators from the street.
