of Seaside Elks Lodge 1748
was held March 24. Outgo-
ing Exalted Ruler John Gates
presented the Elk of the Year
award, the highest award a
member can receive, to Past
Trustee Dave Darling, in rec-
ognition of his continuous
dedication as a lodge officer
and volunteer.
Norma Painter received
the Citizen of the Year award
for her dedication to the com-
munity and the lodge, and Jim
Fettig was named Officer of
the Year for his commitment
to the operation of the lodge.
