Games, clowns and enter- tainment begin at 11 a.m. The Astoria Rotary Club, Elks Lodge No. 180, Astoria Moose Lodge, Boy Scouts of Amer- ica, Community Emer- Orthodox Mission holds Ves- pers, beginning at 5 p.m. Sat- urday, at the Sollars’ home. A potluck Lenten meal follows the service. The main course is a Greek-style lentil soup. Suggested food items to bring include salad, rolls, dessert, finger foods and drinks. The Holy Saturday Liturgy is at noon Saturday. This is the 132nd Easter Sunday in this church build- ing; the first was held on April 25, 1886. Easter Day services are at 8 and 10 a.m. A special cross will be out for children to flower with blooms brought from home gardens. Those attending are urged to bring gency Response Team (CERT), Sunset Ama- teur Radio Club and sev- eral other organizations, expect 1,500 children and families to participate. This event is also made possible by the logistical support of the Astoria Parks and Recreation, police and fire departments, and the finan- cial support of many local businesses.
