Brittain Ashford plays Hoffman Center
MANZANITA — The
Hoffman Center for the
Arts hosts a performance
by singer Brittain Ashford
7:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 4.
Doors open at 7 p.m. All
ages are welcome.
Hailing from Brooklyn,
New York, Ashford will be
making Manzanita the third
stop on her month-long
tour of the West Coast.
Ashford’s most recent
project, Prairie Empire, has
received national acclaim.
In a review of Prairie Em-
pire’s album, “The Salt,”
Las Vegas Weekly wrote:
“The sheer emotive power
of her voice, whether it
be a whisper, or a fiery,
crackling, pull-on-your-
heartstrings sort of yodel,
captures the pain that
everyone has experienced
but few can recreate.”
Ashford’s tour comes on
the heels of her two-year
venture onto the Broadway
stage, where she starred
beside Josh Groban in the
musical “Natasha, Pierre
and The Great Comet of
1812.”
Nehalem songwriter
Travis Champ will perform
in support of Ashford and
her band at the Hoffman
Center.
There will be a $10
cover charge at the door.
Children are welcome to
attend with their parents
free of charge.
