or Tyler and Amy
Galloway, the loft at
the Red Building in Astoria was
the perfect place to be married.
“We both fell in love with the loft
as soon as we walked in,” said Amy.
They enjoyed the Columbia River view
from all of the windows, and they liked the loft’s
ambiance with its open beams.
Although they live in St. Helens, planning the
wedding was “pretty easy,” Tyler said. “We did it all over
the phone or by email,” he added.
Amy traveled to Astoria to attend a bridal fair and
returned later to talk to local vendors and visit the loft.

Jaime Kae Hazen took the wedding photos. Brown Butter
Bakery in Scappoose supplied the cake.
About 100 family members and friends attended the
Sept. 16, 2017 wedding, which occurred on a partly cloudy
day that still had lots of sunshine.
Amy wore a long champagne-colored dress covered in
bead work. Tyler wore a dark gray suit with a “blush” tie to
match Amy’s dress. The ceremony was officiated by the
Rev. B.J. Pinkerton, and Amy’s daughter was the flower
girl.
“She was very, very cute,” Amy said.
The biggest problem the couple had was finding a date
when hotel rooms were available for their guests. >>
