The Cannon Beach City
Council will hold a public
hearing on Tuesday, February
6, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. at Can-
non Beach City Hall, 163 East
Gower Street, Cannon Beach,
as a part of the regular City
Council meeting. The purpose
of the hearing is to obtain citi-
zen comments on a proposed
35% increase in water rates
and a 5% increase in waste-
water, and a 5% increase in
storm sewer which would be
effective with water consumed
after March 20, 2018. The cu-
mulative increase for all three
utilities is 16%. These rate
increases are necessary to
meet the operating and capital
costs of these utilities.
