s 2017 winds down, The Daily Astorian decided to look back
at the events of the past year with a collection of what we
think are the best photos.
The year provided a wealth of opportunities to document the peo-
ple, places and events around the Columbia-Pacific region. Whether
it was a solar eclipse from the Astoria Column, a beauty pageant in
Seaside, fishermen in Warrenton or tourists on the sands of Cannon
Beach, we were fortunate enough to be there for the moments that
help define the times, experiences and lives of the people around us.
