This annual festival of lights features live music, traditional
Scandinavian dancing and the traditional Lucia
procession. Afterwards, refreshments served by the
Finnish lodge. All admission funds go to the Scandinavian

North Coast Chorale presents the annual music of
Handel’s “Messiah,” a sing-a-long, conducted by Denise
Reed. The performance will benefit Clatsop County food
banks. Instrumentalists are invited to play-a-long.
Admission is free, but donations to the food bank accepted

A melodrama adaptation of the timeless Charles Dickens’

Starving Artist Faire is one of the biggest local events of
the season with a festive atmosphere, music and food. It
features one-of-a-kind gifts ranging from photography,
collage art, paintings, home and holiday décor, soap,
wreaths, jewelry, candles, apparel and accessories, glass
art, pottery and more. Prices are low to moderate.
Admission is two cans of food or a $2 suggested donation.

annual event benefiting area food banks. Kickstands up at
11 a.m. with planned stops at Buoy 9 in Hammond, Jeffers
Gardens Inn in Astoria; ending at the Astoria Moose
Lodge for Pastor Bob’s chili, 50/50 and other games.
Tickets are $15 for run/chili, and $5 for chili only.
